This is a real PS5 main board. Almost every repair we do traces back to one of these five places.
HDMI port
Soldered straight to the board. A cable pulled sideways bends the pins and the picture is gone.
HDMI chip
Sends the video signal to the port. It can fail on its own, even when the port looks perfect.
Main processor
The hottest part of the console. Liquid metal sits on top of it and carries heat to the heatsink.
Power circuits
Feed the processor. One shorted part here is enough to stop the console from turning on.
Storage controller
Your saves live on chips built into this board. That is why we repair the board instead of replacing it.

A PS5 that shuts off mid-game is usually protecting itself. When the main processor gets too hot, the console shows a “Your PS5 is too hot” warning and then cuts the power. The fan often gets very loud first.
Three things cause most of these cases:
We check all three before we quote. Then we clean the console, renew the liquid metal, replace any failed part, and test it under load so you know it stays on. The same repair applies to a PS4 that overheats, using thermal paste.
The HDMI port is the most commonly damaged part of a PlayStation. A cable pulled sideways, or pushed in at an angle, bends the fine pins inside. The console still turns on, but the TV shows “No Signal”.
What the repair involves. The port is soldered to the main board through 19 fine pins. We remove it with controlled heat, clean the pads, and solder a new port in place. If the port is fine and there is still no picture, the fault is usually the HDMI chip behind it, and we replace that as well. We do the same HDMI repair on Xbox consoles.
A dead PS5 is rarely beyond repair. In most cases one part has failed and the rest of the console is fine. What the console does when you press the power button tells us where to look.
We test the power supply first because it is the simplest fix. If it passes, we check the main board for shorted parts and carry out a board-level repair. Because your saves are stored on that board, repairing it keeps your data where it is.
Every console pulls in dust with the air it uses for cooling. After a few years of regular play, that dust is enough to raise temperatures and fan noise. A proper clean means opening the console fully. Blowing air through the vents only pushes the dust deeper.

It depends on the fault. Cleaning and thermal service cost the least. HDMI port and power repairs cost more because they involve soldering on the main board. We give you a quote after diagnosis, and most repairs cost a fraction of a new console.
Many repairs, such as cleaning and part replacements, are finished the same day. Board-level repairs can take longer. We confirm the timeline when we give you the quote.
The two main causes are heat and power. Dust or dried liquid metal makes the processor overheat, so the console shuts down to protect itself. A weak power supply causes the same shutdown at normal temperatures. A diagnosis tells us which one it is.
Yes. In most cases the HDMI port is damaged and we replace it. If the port is fine, the HDMI chip on the board has usually failed, and we replace that instead. Try a different HDMI cable and TV input first to rule out a simple cause.
Usually, yes. A PS5 with no light and no beep most often has a failed power supply or a shorted part on the main board. Both can be repaired. We test the power supply first, then the board.
No. The PS5 uses liquid metal between the processor and the heatsink, which moves heat better than paste. The PS4 and PS4 Pro use regular thermal paste. We service both, and we use the correct material for each console.
Every two to three years suits most homes. Clean it sooner if you have pets or carpet, or if the fan is loud in the menus. Dust blocks airflow, raises the temperature, and shortens the life of the console.
Most hardware repairs do not touch your storage, so your saves and games stay in place. If the console still turns on, back up to PS Plus cloud storage or a USB drive before you bring it in. Data is only at risk if the main board itself has to be replaced.
Sony designed the PS5 to work both ways, and a console that has never been opened is fine in either position. Some repair technicians have seen liquid metal shift in consoles stored upright, mostly ones with a damaged seal. What matters more is clear space around the vents.
